Description: Wall World 2 is a roguelike that sucks you into the abyss, where your robotic spider scrapes along the surface of a giant Wall, like the shell of a cosmic egg. Inside are labyrinths of mines with artifacts, moaning monsters and anomalies that bend space. Each descent down turns into a hysterical construction site: you place drills on spider legs, screwed to the body in a random order, and then rush back up, shooting back from creatures that look like escaped sketches by Z. Giger.
There are no boring “collect 10 crystals” here – the depth lives according to the laws of chaos. One run has you falling into a biome with pulsar gravity, the other has you climbing through meat tunnels where the walls breathe. The city-sphere between attacks resembles a gas station for killer machines: here they solder a spider into caterpillars, there they exchange a plasma cannon from a mysterious merchant. But the main thing is that the Wall resists: monsters crawl out even from the holes you drill, as if the earth is taking revenge for the invasion.
The trick is in the wild mixing of tactics: either you fly down like a drill torpedo, or you retreat, setting up web mines. And also in the way the game teases with mystery. What glows in the black vents of the depths? Why does the robo-spider sometimes flinch as if it remembers something? All that remains is to tighten the screws harder and dive again. After all, the Wall does not forgive weakness – but generously pays for madness.
