Description: Sancticide takes players into the world of a biblical apocalypse, where divine laws intertwine with human despair. You are Ezekiel, a “sin collector” in the service of the Heavenly Office, whose mission is to cleanse what remains of humanity. The game takes place in surreal locations: from temple ruins to distorted spaces, where each object carries a symbolic meaning.
The combat system combines dynamic hand-to-hand combat with a tactical approach. What is important here is not only mastery of swords and polearms, but also the ability to use the environment – throw enemies into abysses, destroy structures or slow down time with the help of the mystical “Purple Power”. Each enemy is unique: fanatical preachers attack in waves, sinners turn into monsters, and cosmic entities change the rules of battle.
Progression in the game is based on the roguelite principle – after death you return to the beginning, but retain some of the improvements. The kosher system adds depth: the use of prohibited items or methods affects the story branches. The visual style balances between dark gothic and psychedelic visions, and the soundtrack enhances the sense of the impending end of times.
