Description: THE CAGE plunges you into the nightmare of an endless Giga-Khrushchevka – a living, breathing building where the laws of physics and logic stop working. You are one of the convicts thrown into this concrete hell, where the only way to travel is a capricious monster elevator that requires constant “refueling” and repairs. Together with other players (up to 6 people in co-op), you have to go down through crazy floors: from relatively “normal” Khrushchev corridors to distorted realities with flying furniture and bloody anomalies.
The gameplay balances between horror and dark humor: while collecting fuel for the elevator and resources for survival, you will encounter mimic cones, exploding psychos and your own doppelgängers. A special atmosphere is created by “Self Assembly” – a spontaneous apocalypse when the building begins to be rebuilt, filling the corridors with purple fog and creatures of madness. The visual style plays on contrasts: recognizable Soviet surroundings juxtapose with surreal distortions, and the sound design (elevator creaks, radio interference) enhances the feeling of anxiety.
