Description: Sudden Strike 5 is a real-time tactical strategy game where you command troops on the battlefield of World War II. No bases or long construction – you are immediately given an army and huge maps on which you need to think about how best to use each unit. The campaign consists of 25 missions across Europe and North Africa. You can fight for different sides, capture key points such as headquarters, warehouses and railways to receive reinforcements and cut off the enemy’s supplies. Here everything is decided by the right combination of infantry, tanks, artillery and aviation. One wrong step and the open field turns into a meat grinder.
There are more than 300 units in the game, including over 190 vehicles and more than 100 types of infantry. Before each mission, you choose a commander with your own bonuses – some are better at aggressive breakthrough, others at defense or support. New mechanics greatly simplify control: double-clicking collects all similar units, and the Smart Squad function allows you to form a squad with one click and set it to a convenient formation. The battles turn out to be dynamic and quite tough – the infantry is vulnerable, the equipment requires cover, and the AI ​​does not stand still and constantly presses. It turns out to be a real tactical sandbox, where you can try different approaches to the same task.
