Description: The Thing: Remastered returns players to a world of icy horror, continuing the story of John Carpenter’s 1982 cult film. As Captain Jay F. Blake, you will lead a rescue team sent to the Antarctic station Outpost 31 to investigate mysterious events and face a superhuman threat.
The plot takes place after the events of the film: an elusive alien, capable of taking the form of his victims, continues to terrorize the research base. The main task is not only to survive, but also to keep your team from plunging into the chaos of fear and paranoia. Your ability to earn the trust of your comrades will be a decisive factor in the fight for life.
The gameplay combines elements of survival, horror and tactical action. You explore stations, solve puzzles, and fight terrifying enemies. However, the enemy can be hiding anywhere: even your allies can turn into a monster at any moment. Manage their fears, facilitate treatment, and maintain their confidence to avoid panic and rebellion.
The remaster has improved graphics and atmosphere: dynamic lighting, redesigned models, textures and special effects make the world even more realistic and intense. An interactive trust/fear system adds depth to NPC interactions, making every choice meaningful.
