Description: The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon is a large-scale JRPG, where the fates of three heroes are intertwined around the first manned flight into space in the history of Zemuria. At the center is Van Arkride, a mercenary from the Kalvard Republic, but now he is joined by Rain Schwarzer and Kevin Graham, each with their own mission. Over three intense days, you will live three parallel paths: political intrigue, investigations of secret conspiracies and personal trials, which gradually add up to a grandiose picture. This is not just a sequel – it is a turning point in the entire saga, where the past collides with the future, and the answers give rise to even more questions.
The combat system retains its recognizable mix of real-time and turn-based combat, but has received important improvements. Awakenings allow heroes to enter enhanced states while on the battlefield, ZOC slows down time for an advantageous attack, and new Command Fragments add strategy: you can temporarily increase damage, reduce damage taken, or gain an extra turn. Battles are more dynamic, and managing the battle meter requires attention – especially against enemies who can make three turns in a row. Flexibility of tactics, combination of skills and team coordination make every battle an interesting challenge, even after dozens of hours of play.
The world lives on, the characters remember, and every decision leaves a mark. There are no random encounters here: every dialogue, side quest (4SPG) and Connection event reveals character, history or hints at future cataclysms. Numerous returns from previous parts do not seem random – they are significant. Yes, the pace is slow in places, and some routes – especially Vana – take a while to gain momentum. But the ending? He’s explosive. He turns everything upside down. And yes, it leaves you on a cliff, with your heart in your throat and a thousand theories in your head.
