Description: Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War! – a first-person shooter with retro style, where you defend the Federation, defeating hordes of alien insects with weapons at the ready and artillery support. You are called to enlist—literally. The game is presented as a propaganda simulator for the future, designed to inspire a new generation to fight the threat. Starring Casper Van Dyne as General Rico, who addresses you between missions in lively scenes full of sarcastic pathos and the universe’s signature cynicism.
You play as Sergeant Sammi Dietz, a young but determined Mobile Infantry member whose thirst for revenge after being attacked by a killer bug turns her into the perfect soldier. Chaos awaits you on the battlefield as endless waves of Terminids, from skinny Aphids to massive Tankers, attack from all sides. You fire the iconic Morita, call in airstrikes, nukes, and even take control of a mech. The map of each mission is almost a sandbox: you can complete tasks in any order, experiment with tactics, exploit weak points of insects and report victories through the equipment reset system.
A special twist is the ability to play as the insects themselves in simulations where you impersonate Killer Bug, destroying people’s bases. This is not just a bonus, but part of the satirical intent, emphasizing the absurdity of war. The graphics mix 2D soldier sprites and 3D enemy models to create a unique visual style. Fast, bloody, merciless – and with a hint that the real enemy may not be where it seems.
