Description: RuneQuest: Warlords is a tactical turn-based strategy game that immerses you in the mythological world of Glorantha, where the Bronze Age meets divine chaos. You control the hero Halgrim and his squad – from simple spearmen to mythical creatures – in 18 scenario-based missions against the hordes of Chaos. Each battle requires precise placement: direction of view, zones of control, terrain and even the order of attacks decide whether your faithful canine warrior will survive or turn into bones under the hooves of enemy deer riders.
The combat system combines depth and dynamics: heroes receive two action points, unique runic abilities and can summon elemental spirits, while ordinary warriors fight in formation, covering each other with shields or attacking flanks. The key mechanic was Battle Rush – a “mythic charge” accumulated in battle, which allows you to turn a squad into a storm of fury for a short time. Forgot to tap your hero before the end of your turn? Get ready for enemy magicians to turn your vanguard into ashes. Here, every cell is a decision, every turn is a risk.
Between battles, you strengthen your army: veterans grow, receiving bonuses, and Signs of Glory open up new branches of hero development – from a healer to a combat lightning carrier. The visuals are laconic but expressive: dusty landscapes, waving banners and animations that make it immediately clear that this goatman is about to plunge a spear into your liver. RuneQuest: Warlords doesn’t just bring the tabletop RPG to digital – it brings the tactics alive, furious, and steeped in myth.
