Description: The Commander Quest is an unusual Roguelike symbiosis, a card strategy and auto-batter, where your deck literally comes to life on the battlefield. Imagine: you choose a historical hero (say, Saladin in the role of dwarf), get his unique abilities, and then lead the army of cute, but deadly creatures through the procedurally generated campaigns. The mechanics resemble the minion Masters, but with the tactical depth of Slay the Spire – units automatically fight on a lank map, and in the meantime you arrange fortifications, activate the spells and look for synergies between cards.
Special charm – in a detailed system of interactions. Gnomas-drinkers receive bonuses from the tavern, cavalry breaks through the flanks, and alchemists turn random objects into deadly potions. After each battle, you will find a classic choice of a cirow: shops with Goblin merchants, random events (like protecting rats from eco-activists) or upgrades of cards. The visual style balances between cartoon aesthetics and dark fantasy – when your “cute” one suddenly begin to break the enemies into pieces, it looks at the same time funny and cruel.
The progress has been implemented cunningly: even the lost races give experience for new races and commanders, opening exotic cards like mobile catapults or shamans that cause meteorite rain. 3 levels of complexity and the S-ranking system add reiglable, and daily tests with modifiers (for example, “all units are drunk”) turn familiar mechanics into a new challenge.
