Description: Katanaut is a pungent with a rigid action in the style of metro -vanning, where every step can be the last. The action is unfolded at an abandoned space station, permeated with darkness and generated by mutants. You are a lie, a fighter with a katana, stuck here after landing. There is no return journey. Ahead – biomes filled with terrifying creatures, traps, bosses and endless cycles of death and revival. Yes, it looks like Dead Cells, but here everything is served in a more gloomy, cyberpanic manner: blood on the walls, neon, rotting flesh and sounds, as if the station itself groans.
Each race begins with the choice of katana – and almost the entire passage style depends on it. The first cuts quickly and allows you to slide through the enemies, the second gives a parry, others work with magic or change the type of damage. The near -battle weapons are recorded on the race, but pistols, shotgun and emitters can be changed along the way. The cartridges are limited, but replenished with sword strikes – this is how the game pushes you to constant switching between the battle modes. There are still two slots for abilities: a slowdown in time, fire balls, an attacking jerk – combinations can vary greatly, and this adds a variety.
The pumping system is built on syringes with random bonuses: damage, crites, prey, a supply of cartridges. Part of the improvements remain between the races, so even after death you feel progress. Yes, visual is a strong side: detailed pixel graphics, shimmering corridors, effects of impact and flying flesh. Music is a gloomy syntryiv, perfectly falling on the rhythm of the battle. It is not just to cut and run. This is to study, adapt and, in the end, break through the hell. If ready, turn on.
