Description: Kriophobia is a slow-paced survival horror game where you play as Anna, a geophysicist trapped in an abandoned Soviet base beneath the permafrost of Zhokhov Island. All around is a dead cold, which in itself is deadly, and strange magnetic anomalies that awaken something ancient and alien. Choose: hide in the shadows, saving your last ammo, or engage in a risky battle with distorted creatures whose silhouettes flicker in the rays of the lantern.
The game world is revealed through carefully constructed fixed cameras, turning every frame into an engraving of horror. Resources are worth their weight in gold, and the secrets of the past are in rusty notes, blurry photos and whispers of echoes. Expect puzzles woven into the architecture of oblivion, and choices that will determine not only your survival, but how deeply you allow the island to penetrate your mind. The snow here is not just a background – it muffles sounds, hides threats and makes every step a tape measure.
The visual combines comic book clarity with painterly anxiety: black outlines, icy highlights and flashes of scarlet against a backdrop of endless whiteness. And the music – slow, piercing melodies with echoes of Slavic folklore – seems to be breathing behind your back.
