Description: Venatrix is a unique hybrid of action and stealth horror. We choose to play as either Matthew or Della, resulting in two different styles of play: either third-person action/horror or first-person stealth/horror. Join Mr. Colt or Mrs. Hartfort as they both try to make sense of a hellish adventure that takes them into the depths of their own psyches and back again.

Matthew Colt is a turn-of-the-century paranormal investigator who takes on a new case at a Hartford mansion. There he meets Della, the wife of a wealthy businessman, who believes her house is haunted. She sees visions of demons and beasts from other dimensions.
As a player, we have two conscious choices: we choose Matthew or Della, and both options offer completely different playstyles and adventures.
Matthew must navigate the fairytale-yet-terror-filled halls of Hartford Mansion before heading to Carcosa Orphanage in search of Della and the answers she holds. You must bring him out of the chilling depths of his own psyche and restore stability by battling terrifying monsters and attempting mind-bending puzzles to complete the game.
Matthew must battle enemies from space, other dimensions, and from the depths of his own soul to emerge victorious from this mysterious and chilling case. Matthew must overcome his inner demons in a story that shifts and changes as you must follow your instincts to find evidence – whether that evidence says more about the case or Matthew himself remains to be seen.
Alternatively, you can play as Della and befriend the shadows. She will follow the same path as Matthew, however, she will only need stealth skills to confront or avoid these monsters. Inevitably, her version of this dangerous undertaking will also force her soul to face her own inner demons, but perhaps she has a different range of opinions on the same worldly issues that Matthew has a “male perspective” on, her own perspective. interpretation as a sassy Victorian lady…
