Description: UMIGARI is a harpoon fishing game that begins as a quiet hunt in the misty waters off the Japanese coast and gradually turns into something strange. You are alone on a boat, a harpoon in your hands, surrounded by gray waves, splashing, and the cries of seagulls. Every shot requires precision: aim, throw, get the prey. Sell fish, upgrade the boat, the more fuel, the higher the speed, the further the journey. The deeper into the sea, the rarer the shore, and the fish are larger and… more unusual.
After a successful throw, a groan is heard. The fish seems to be talking. Sometimes it goes straight to your head. Reaction? You won’t immediately understand: are these hallucinations from loneliness or something more disturbing? Some creatures run away, others freeze, as if watching. The equipment on board helps: it highlights targets, finds artifacts, but it does not save you from the feeling that you are no longer just a hunter.
This is not a hardcore horror, but rather a slow dive into a disturbing atmosphere, where every harpoon throw is like a step into the unknown. A mild form, but with a taste of madness. The game is short, but memorable, especially if you are prepared for strange voices from the depths.
