Description: Twilight Monk immerses in the gloomy-poetic world of special, where the last heir to the ancient warriors confront the chaos, unleashed by the traitor Knox. The protagonist was armed with an unusual weapon – a phantom column, which serves as a giant chain in battle, and a hook for Parru, and even the key to puzzles. This multifunctional instrument makes every fight with a dance – you will destroy enemies with a heavy chain, fend off the attacks of its massive nucleus, and then use inertia for lightning -fast jerks in platform areas.
The study is built on the principles of metroids: early locations keep secrets available only after obtaining new skills. But instead of a single interconnected world, the game offers a trip on a vast map in the JRPG style – from snowy monasteries to the ruins of ancient civilizations. On the way you will find not only traditional platforming trials, but also random clashes with monsters, transferring to special arenas. The pumping of the character depends on the battles: the more enemies defeat, the stronger the attacks will become and new combo will open. Additional depth is added by talismans that change the characteristics, and the temporary amplification system through food.
Visual style is the main trump card of the project. Each frame looks like a page of a graphic novel with a cinema presentation: shadows play the frescoes of destroyed temples, the animation of the blows transfers the power of the phantom column, and the design of creatures balances between the Asian folklore and the author’s fantasy. Even the interface is stylized under ancient scrolls. The difficulty can scare newcomers (especially in battles with bosses), but the generous system of checkpoints softens this moment.
