Description: Tormented Souls 2 is a return to the roots of survival horror, where the atmosphere of the classics in the spirit of Resident Evil and Silent Hill is intertwined with a modern presentation. The main character Caroline Walker again finds herself in the midst of a nightmare: this time she is brought to the lost city of Villa Esse in a desperate attempt to save her sister Anna from a creepy cult and otherworldly forces. Old hospitals and schools here coexist with a corrupted reality, where even the usual laws of space work differently.
Gameplay balances between survival and exploration. Not only do you have to dodge ugly creatures with nails for fingers, but you also have to solve multi-layered puzzles – for example, changing the past through mystical artifacts to open a path in the present. The arsenal includes homemade weapons like a nail gun and a chainsaw, but ammo is so rare that each shot has to be weighed. And fixed cameras add drama: you’ll hear the creepy shuffling behind you even before the monster comes into view.
What really catches you is the detail of the world. Peeling walls of clinics, alarming whispers in the dark, Anna’s drawings that come to life in the most unexpected places – all this creates an oppressive feeling of hopelessness. Even the story NPCs here don’t just give quests, but hide dark secrets that will only be revealed at the end. If you like horror games that play on your nerves and not just scare you with jump scares, this game will not disappoint you.
