Description: The Occultist is a first-person action game where you play as paranormal investigator Alan Rebels. He comes to the abandoned Godstone Island to find his missing father. Things get strange very quickly: the island was once home to a secret cult that conducted creepy experiments, and now ghosts roam here. Alan uses an ancient pendulum that allows him to see hidden things, rewind time, summon a raven, and even possess rats.
You walk through old houses, orphanages and carnivals, collecting objects, solving simple puzzles and talking to ghosts. Some spirits help, give tasks or tell their story. Others are hostile and you have to hide or run away from them. The pendulum gradually reveals new abilities that help you move forward. The atmosphere of gothic horror is very strong here: dark interiors, good lighting, memorable locations and rather dark music.
