Description: The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is a tactical RPG that will make you literally pierce yourself with a sword to save the world. The main character, the usual guy Takumi, lives under the dome of Tokyo of the future, until the city is attacked by cute plush monsters, suddenly turning into murder cars. When his friend finds himself in the balance of death, the ghostly talisman Sirei gives Takumi Dagger – the one that needs to be stuck in his chest to get strength for a fight. Thus begins a 100-day battle for the Academy of the last line, where the salvation of mankind depends on a handful of students with quirks: there is a girl who dreams of a “murder game”, and a guy who looks like a gangster, and inside is a fluffy bunny.

Gameplay is a symbiosis of a visual novel and tactical battles with non -standard rules. Your goal is not just to kill all enemies, but to keep them from a breakthrough through the barriers, sacrificing the allies (they resurrect, but they feel all the pain of death). The battles take place on small maps, where it is important to competently spend total actions of action: you can give one character three strokes in a row, leaving others without movement. The more you kill, the faster the voltage scale is filled, opening powerful specialists at the cost of the “death” of the fighter to the next round. Between the battles are social residues in the spirit of Persona: Give gifts (someone-a designer package for vomiting, someone-a book on quantum physics) and explore the world in the format of a table with random events.

The style of the play is a corporate cocktail from Danganronpa and Zero Escape: Psychedelic Twisters, Black Humor and Character design, as if who who had come down from the pages of the manga of the 90s. Visually, the world balances between a sterile academy and surreal landscapes behind its walls-for example, locations with giant chess figures or ruins filled with pixel art objects. There are more larger references: one of the endings literally analyzes the fourth wall, explaining why the gameplay is what it is. If you like tactics with a crazy setting, this is your next hundred hours.
