Description: Tales of Kenzera: Zau is a fantasy side-scrolling single-player platformer that immerses you in a tale inspired by the folklore of one of Africa’s most widespread peoples, the Bantu. From the very beginning you are greeted by the mysterious world of African legends and fairy tales. You will play the role of a little boy who discovers an old book in the Bantu language written by his deceased father. This discovery marks the beginning of his adventure. As you immerse yourself in the game world, you will learn about the shamanic rituals and beliefs of the African people. You will have to face high and low gods such as Uchiho, Mulungu and Nzambi Mpungu. Each of them has its own strengths and abilities that you have to use to achieve your goals.
The main task of the game is to return the spirit of the boy’s father, who was locked in the world of spirits, so that he can help him become Nanga – a spiritual healer. You learn to use the powers of nature to heal and help other characters in the game. This will give you a sense of true power and responsibility. But to achieve your goal, you will have to go through a series of tests and rituals, using the powers of the Sun and Moon. Each ritual will require thought, dexterity and patience, making the game a real challenge for your intellectual and emotional components. In addition to the main plot, the game will teach you to appreciate the history and culture of different peoples, allowing you to plunge into the world of magic and spirituality.
