The game continues the events of the first part, which the developers have already officially announced, but at the moment they are not particularly talking about the plot. All that is known is that now the events of the game will take place in Iceland, in the vastness of its wildest lands. There, players will again face madness, hordes of enemies, and more.
Hellblade 2’s gameplay promises to remain the same for the most part. That is, players will again be invited to plunge into a series of adventures, travel through wild lands, encounter intriguing events, in which sometimes they will even have to make fateful decisions for the heroine, and fight enemies.
As for the enemies, the developers promise much more of them in the new game than there were in the first part, and each enemy will need to be approached with a unique approach – stupid frontal attacks will still be dangerous and mostly useless. At the same time, the combat system will change slightly, more interesting combinations of attacks will be added, and much more. By the way, the game itself is created based on the Unreal Engine 5.
The game world should be very large, and at the same time open. You will be able to explore it far and wide, enjoying the beauty of Iceland and what you can find in general. Well, the atmosphere and graphics should, in theory, move to a new level. In Hellblade 2, according to the developers, you will find an even more realistic environment, redesigned animation of the main character, a sea of gloomy locations in which it will be scary to even be, and more.
