Description: Reigns: The Witcher is a card roguelike where you don’t fight with a sword, but write ballads behind a bar. The action is in Dundee’s head, as he recounts Geralt’s exploits, turning every choice into a song for a drunken crowd. You swipe the cards: should you help the merchant or ignore him? Protect the elf or give him away for gold? Each decision changes the scales – the attitude of people, non-humans, magicians and loyalty to the witcher’s path. Skew in any direction, and the end awaits you: a noose, an arrow, or an overdose at a fairy party.
But this is not just “swipe left – dead”, this is living chaos, where the logic of the world is upside down. Helping an old woman might offend the gnomes. Killing a monster is not always a plus to fame. Sometimes it is better to remain silent, sometimes to lie. And there are also battles: a mini-game in the style of a battlefield, where you guide Geralt through the cells, dodge attacks and catch signs – Igni will burn an enemy blow, Quen will save him from a deadly move. You can even automate fights if you want pure storytelling.
The world is constantly changing, Triss, Yeni, rare characters from shadow stories appear, new inspirations, tasks for Dundee. The music is the same, dear, from Novigrad. Each launch is a new stupid, heroic, obscene or tragic story. This is not an RPG, but perhaps the most authentic role-playing experience in the Witcher universe.
