Description: News Tower is an economic simulator where you take on the role of a media mogul and be transported to New York in the 1930s. It is here that history will be made, because you have inherited an entire publishing house. You have to make a whole corporation out of a small and dull room, and also highlight the brightest moments of the decade. Act as a stern but fair editor, closely monitor the process and guide your subordinates in the right direction.
Start with the very basics, and gradually introduce new mechanics into your production, automating some processes. News Tower provides quite a lot of room for experimentation, where at each stage you are able to make decisions that will shape your approach both to the gameplay itself and will affect your positions in New York itself.
Decide what kind of news your newspaper will publish: write vividly about the Great Depression or the consequences of Prohibition, introduce a column about politics, or write about local news like missing things and cats stuck in trees. Remember that depending on the content you produce, there will be a corresponding audience and awards, so getting a Pulitzer Prize will require a lot of effort.
In addition to the production itself, you will need to ensure that your publication is seen by as many residents of the metropolis as possible. Plan where your newspapers will be sold and carefully monitor whether this is bringing the desired result or whether it is worth changing the strategy. Capture more and more territories and penetrate the minds of people, dictating what they should think about today.
