Description: Monsters Are Coming! Rock & Road is an unusual mix of survival games in the style of Vampire Survivors, light tower defense and a bagel, where you don’t save the world, but drag an entire city on wheels along the road. Your task is to guide the vulnerable City Hall to a safe haven called the Ark, while shadowy monsters creep in from all sides and a black fog moves inexorably from behind. You play as a simple worker with an ax who chops down trees, breaks rocks, collects resources and automatically hits enemies – all in real time, without pauses or breaks.
The city grows on a grid principle: each building – from flamethrowers to stat farms – occupies a cell, and their location affects efficiency. Want a chain of buffs? Place the trusses in a line. Prefer a horde of minions? Support them with guns with bonus damage. Resources work here in an unusual way: wood speeds up the attack of towers, stone heals the city, and gold is spent in safe zones. Experience drops from monsters, and for each new level you choose one of three random buildings – so each run turns into an experiment with synergies and compromises.
And you are also expendable. Will you die? A tombstone will appear in place, occupying a precious cell, but the mission will continue. A total of 10 unique cities with different starting bonuses and unlocking conditions – from mirror symmetry to complete dependence on collecting resources rather than killing. The run lasts 10-20 minutes, ending with an epic battle with kaiju and a final rush under a hail of arrows from the Ark. After the victory, the city remains in history, and you are drawn into another race, because who hasn’t dreamed of transporting towers on wheels through a forest of damned toads?
