Description: Junji Ito Maniac: An Infinite Gaol is a first-person psychological horror game that immerses you in a nightmarish mansion where reality is distorted by the weight of madness, and every room is fraught with echoes of Junji Ito’s famous manga. You wake up unconscious among disturbing statues, hatches and mechanisms, with a broken phone in your hand and only vague memories. Soon you are joined by two women – one mysterious and attractive, the other sharp and with the habits of a detective – and the three of you try to get out of the trap, which seems to live its own life.
The mansion is full of familiar nightmares: floating ball heads, writhing black strands of hair, headless sculptures… and somewhere in the shadows looms Tomie – beautiful, treacherous, eternal. Enemies don’t just stalk you—they distort space, forcing you to hide, set traps, and solve puzzles to survive. Every detail of the environment is a hint, every whisper is a threat. And something… alien is gradually brewing inside you.
The game doesn’t try to scare you with loud sounds – it slowly creeps under your skin, like an inky crack on a wall. The plot branches out, the truth is hidden behind fragments of memories, and there are several endings. But the creepiest thing is not what you see, but what you begin to feel: as if the mansion no longer wants to let you go. And maybe you yourself don’t want to leave.
