Description: Escape Simulator 2 is a puzzle and escape simulator where you enter detailed rooms filled with riddles, secrets and lots of interactive objects. You are thrown into three atmospheric locations at once: Dracula’s gloomy castle, the lost EOS spaceship and a pirate island with a cursed treasure. Each theme includes four rooms, united by a common story, where solving one puzzle opens the way to the next. There are no long introductions here – just you, the room and the clock.
You can touch everything: books, boxes, mechanisms, paintings on the walls. Important items are marked with an icon, but even small details can be a clue – sometimes you need to look at the ceiling or behind a closet. The puzzles are built logically: one gives the key to the other, and several together lead to the final task. There is a hint system, but it doesn’t always work – I had to fiddle around a couple of times before the hint appeared. The 45 minute timer does not affect the outcome, but adds tension if you play for speed.
You can play alone or in co-op with up to 8 players, but optimally with two or four players. More people mean more confusion: you can’t properly hand over an object or show a found note. But in the lobby between rounds you can put together puzzles, play chess or look for hidden fragments. There is also an improved level editor – a powerful tool for creating your own rooms without programming. Yes, the graphics have become more realistic, and the atmosphere has only benefited from this.
