Description: Constance is a hand-crafted 2D Metroidvania with a painterly aesthetic and unexpected depth, where you play as an artist trapped in her own imagination. Her world is a crumbling labyrinth of colors, memories and anxieties, where every leap, every brush stroke is both action and metaphor. Instead of a sword, Constance has a magic brush, with which she not only fights robotic demons of the inner world, but also interacts with the environment: she turns into a puddle of paint to slide along the walls, erases obstacles with strokes, and even uses her own health when the paint runs out.
The gameplay cleverly combines classic elements of the genre – an extensive map, backtracking, hidden improvements – with the author’s solutions. For example, after dying, you can either return to the last altar or activate Curse of the Puppet: remain in the same room, but with buffed enemies that won’t disappear until you rest. This brilliantly takes away the frustration of difficult platforming sections. And the system of “Inspirations” – passive improvements received for research – allows you to flexibly customize your play style: some will take risks more often, while others will rely on protection or the effectiveness of paint.
The visuals in Constance really flow like living paint: smooth animations, soft pastel colors, contrasting biomes – from underground sewers to floating circuses. The plot, although laconic, is touching – through short scenes from real life, you gradually understand what is oppressing Constance: burnout, pressure, loneliness. The game lasts 6–12 hours, but leaves a feeling of something whole, complete. Turn on – and let yourself dissolve in this colorful, vulnerable and very human world.

How to start the game:
