Description: Chip ‘n class vs. The Brainioids is an explosive cocktail of strategy, action and a good portion of madness, as if borrowed from the cult buildings of the 90s. The land is at risk: greedy aliens-young people (yes, in banks!) Poil a precious brainum, and only a chip-a young inventor with a head full of ideas-and his partner-robocot closes can stop them. The dialogs sincere with hooligan humor, and the visual seemed to have come down from the Ratchet & Clank screens, winking at nostalgic players. But do not be deceived by a cartoon wrap: under it, an unexpectedly deep mechanic is hidden.
Gameplay is a strange but exciting hybrid. You simultaneously command the army of robots, building strengthening and placing units, and personally crawl in dynamic contractions. There are no boring managerial everyday life: Brayneium is extracted automatically, and the battles are reminiscent of a chaotic carnival, where cuffs fly in all directions. A special charm is a “replicon” system: in order to unlock new units or buildings, you need to find their drawings directly on the battlefield. This adds excitement and does not allow to get bored, turning every mission into a mini-quest.
Cooperative and PVP mode-cherry on the cake. Together with a friend is even more fun: one repairing equipment, the other accelerates attacks, and in network battles you can experience strategies against living opponents. Yes, the platforming is slightly angular, and the bosses sometimes require toothbrusting patience, but the charm of the game outweighs minor shortcomings.
