Description: Blades of Fire is a fantasy-adventure that will immerse you in blacksmithing, where each sword is your personal creation. You play for Aran, the former commander of the Royal Guard, forced to become a Master of the Guinee House in order to resist the queen of Neria, turning steel into stone. The game from the first minutes is impressed with a detailed forging system: select not just the type of blade, but each element from the guard to the top, and then manually beat off the red -hot metal with a hammer. It is especially cool that the future weapons repair capabilities depend on the accuracy of the blows – the find for perfectionists.
Fights here are not just waving with a sword, but a tactical puzzle. Aim at the vulnerable zones of opponents (green illuminated areas), avoid armored parts (red) and combine four types of attacks corresponding to the buttons of the gamepad. It is pleasantly surprising that even standard enemies require a different approach: skeletons are weak against crushing blows, and armored guards are better to attack in the cracks of armor. And there are also epic contractions with bosses – for example, with a giant goal, whose stone fists leave dents on the floor.
What really clings is the atmosphere – the world of Blades of Fire resembles a Gothic fairy tale with its mossy ruins, foggy valleys and mysterious artifacts. You will explore the vertical locations (sometimes too confusing), solve puzzles with the runes of time and light, and at the same time listen to the caustic comments of your ADSO companion, which helps to solve the notes of the ancient blacksmiths, then lets go of sarcastic jokes. This is the rare case when the game is not afraid to be difficult, but rewards the patient – especially when you finally are washing the legendary blade that can put an end to the war with the queen.
