Description: Back: Fade – the continuation of the interactive horror, as well as a real trap for nerves, where each choice leaves a bloody trail on the wall. Waking up in the hospital ward, the protagonist of Jen Sin understands that the nightmare has not ended, the rules have just changed. Now there are other “survivors” around, but which of them is a person, and who is part of this distorted world? The game masterfully plays paranoia: even tips in the notebook can be a trap, and confidence in the allies threatens a sudden knife in the back under the accompaniment of the alarming creak of doors.
The format of “Living Cinema” here is not just a chip – this is a way to drive you into trembling. Real actors taken in gloomy interiors whisper behind their backs, drop things with a roar and freeze in unnatural poses, like dolls with cut threads. The mechanic resembles the quest: collect the keys, turn on the flashlights, read the scraps of the diaries, but be prepared – the battery always sits at the most inopportune moment. And there are also moments when the screen goes out for a few seconds … And you only hear the heavy breathing of someone very close.
Which is the coolest – the game does not scare cheap scums. Instead, she methodically sways your psyche: here you find a photo with the date of today, here you notice that the “friend” has no shadow, but suddenly realize that the choice made an hour ago led to the final where you yourself become a monster. And yes, there are several endings here, but not one will give you a sense of victory – only an icy understanding: “But what if a real nightmare is just beginning?”
