Description: Nine Sols is a complex, but no less interesting metroidvania with a rich plot and dynamic combat system. You have to go on a long journey, explore the land that was once home to an ancient race that once existed, and destroy the harsh rulers of the world – the Nine Sols.
Welcome to New Kunlun, the refuge of the last remaining Solarians and renowned as the most peaceful place in the kingdom. Everything changes in a moment when a long-forgotten hero from Yi’s past awakens from his eternal sleep. You have to explore the vast world of Kunlun and uncover its secrets. Find the reason for the awakening of the main character and collect the whole story of his revenge on Solam. Meet interesting minor characters and learn the latest news from the kingdom, as well as acquire new abilities and upgrades from them.
What makes the game different is the most dynamic combat system. Each fight combines fast-paced action combos with classic platforming mechanics. Be prepared that the battle even with ordinary mobs filling the map will be difficult and you will have to quickly react to their attacks. Slash, dodge, attack enemies and blast them with the Taoist talisman. The bosses fully reflect their name: their appearance alone confirms their status as a great ruler. The fights will be long and you will have to use cunning when fighting them.
The visual design is made in the experimental style of Taopunk – this is when cyberpunk collides with Taoism, mixing with elements of science fiction and Eastern mythology. All animation, backgrounds and characters in Nine Sols are hand-drawn and inspired by Japanese manga.
