Description: Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes is a fleet management roguelike in which you command a handful of surviving ships as you try to reach the galaxy, sector by sector, while the Cylons close on your heels. In between skirmishes with the enemy, you will have to constantly obtain resources: fuel, scrap metal, supplies. At the same time, the fleet is being shaken by internal crises – conflicts between workers, military and criminals, explosives from a Cylon spy, a broken ship, an officer with personal requests. It will not be possible to solve all the problems, and it is in these elections that the main tension of the game lies.
When the timer runs out, the battle begins. The goal here is not to win – you need to survive long enough to move on to the next sector. The player has several types of fighters and ship guns at his disposal: cannons, missiles, nuclear charges. Soldiers are pumped up and gain experience, and hero-officers provide unique abilities right in battle. The screen quickly fills with units, and a tactical pause comes in handy here.
Losing is part of the process: each run earns you points for permanent upgrades and unlocks new starting fleets with different playstyles. Pixel graphics and a dark electronic soundtrack perfectly convey the atmosphere of besieged fugitives. No race is like another – crises, events and situations develop differently every time.
