Description: In The King Is Watching, you find yourself in the kingdom where each of your mistakes is a chance to fail, because the king is following every step. This is a strategy with the elements of a cirow, where you are a manager who needs to keep resources in the depth in order to survive and please the picky monarch. Here everything is spinning around three main cases: collect food, wood and iron, build buildings and defend themselves from raids. Every day – like a test: either peasants are starving, then the enemies are breaking into the gate, and the king is only waiting for the reason to execute you.
The game goes in real time, but with a pause – you can calmly think about where to throw workers or how to fight off from another misfortune. The pixel graphics are simple, but stylish, and with each run the levels change, so you have to adapt anew. There is pumping: improve buildings, hire a guard or even magicians if you get to the later stages. The difficulty grows quickly – it is worth gloating, and everything collapses like a house of cards. This is not about relaxation, but about nerves and ingenuity. In 5-10 hours you will either become a survival master, or the king will fire you … forever. For those who love the call and are not afraid of pressure from above – perfectly.
