Description: A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a frightening survival adventure based on the universe of the famous film. Players are immersed in a post-apocalyptic atmosphere where silence is the key to survival. You play as Alex Taylor, a student who suffers from asthma, and every breath she takes through her inhaler can attract monsters that react to any sound. In this world, silent aliens who hunt by ear patrol the area, and your job is to remain undetected.
The gameplay in A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is based on stealth mechanics and use of the environment. Players can hide behind objects, make noise to distract monsters, or use a flashlight to light the way and avoid traps that can attract enemies. However, the main innovation is the microphone mechanics: the sounds you make in real life can be reflected in the game. Thus, your silence is not just a strategy, but a necessity to avoid destruction.
Another feature is the phonometer, a noise measurement tool that helps determine how loud you are moving. You can use ambient sounds, such as the sound of water or the creaking of old boards, to mask your steps. Sand under your feet makes your steps quieter, while glass and rusty metal make your steps more dangerous. Numerous puzzles also complement the survival process, because every decision can save or destroy.
Environmental elements such as scattering bottles or using sound camouflages help to remain undetected. You have to decide how to get around the monsters, using not only cover, but also your wits. This intense journey through a world where every sound could be your last will test your nerves and your ability to remain quiet.
