The game takes place in an unusual fairy-tale world, based on ancient Russian and Icelandic myths. And the plot itself revolves around a mysterious old man, an old man with a staff, who suddenly heard the cry of an unknown animal somewhere in the distance and now wants to find it and help it at all costs. That’s how the adventure begins. Now you and the old man will have to go on a journey in which you will find riddles and puzzles, battles with monsters, and much, much more.
Having set off on a journey with the main character, you will have to plunge into the abyss of battles, endless random events, puzzles and encounters with monsters and other enemies. It would seem that there is nothing unusual, but in fact, everything is not so. In addition to all of the above, you will also find much more, including unusual mechanics of using the staff, random encounters, exploring mysterious locations, and more.
You will travel all over this world. And it is huge. You will have to walk through thickets and forests, and sail by boat among island rocks, and visit the ruins of ancient cities, and wander into fortresses. There are more than enough options, and there is simply an incredible number of locations here.
The combat system here is entirely based on the use of the old man’s staff. This staff can act as a shield, creating an energy field, and levitate around the hero, and generate a beam of light. Otherwise, Selfloss is a typical role-playing game. Go on a journey and try to learn more about this world and the cry heard by the old man…
